WBOC's DelmarvaLife/Dew Tour 'Dew What Inspires You' Contest 2013

WBOC’s DelmarvaLife will conduct the Dew Tour 'Dew What Inspires You' contest May 6, 2013 – June 7, 2013.

To enter for a chance to win, entrants must visit the Dew What Inspires You contest page, register with the contest by entering their name, birthday, email address, phone number and postal code, and submitting a photo of themselves and/or a friend or family member doing something that inspires them. Once the initial submission period has ended, viewers and users will be invited to vote for their favorite photos. The contest page can be found as a link from The Show tab of DelmarvaLife.com, or from the Dew What Inspires You banner ads on WBOC.com and DelmarvaLife.com, or from the link being shared through social networks, email, etc. Photo submissions will be accepted May 6, 2013 at 12:01am through May 22, 2013 at 11:59pm. Voting will begin May 23, 2013 at 12:01am and run through June 7, 2013 at 11:59pm.

Five winners will be chosen and results will be posted to the contest page. Winners will also be announced daily, June 10, 2013 – June 14, 2013 from 4:00pm-5:00pm during the show DelmarvaLife on WBOC/FOX21. Winners will be chosen based on the number of votes on each photo, and the photo with the most votes will be deemed the grand-prize winner. Photo with the second most votes will be the second place winner, photo with the third most votes will become the third place winner, photo with the fourth most votes will become the fourth place winner, photo with the fifth most votes will become the fifth place winner.

The following prizes will be awarded individually:

1st prize: BMX bike, autographed skateboard deck, Dew Tour prize bag, and 2 premium passes to Sunday's Dew Tour events. ($380 Value)

2nd prize: Skateboard deck, Dew Tour prize bag and 2 Premium Passes to Saturday's Dew Tour events. ($280 Value)

3rd prize: Dew Tour Prize Bag and 2 Premium Passes to Friday's Dew Tour events ($180 Value)

4th prize: Dew Tour Prize Bag and 2 Premium Passes to Thursday's Dew Tour events ($135 Value)

5th prize: Dew Tour Prize Bag and 2 Premium Passes to Thursday's Dew Tour events ($135 Value)

Prize may not be redeemed for cash, and cash equivalents will not be permitted under any circumstances. 

To claim a prize, winner must sign an affidavit as to eligibility and compliance with these rules and regulations, and a release in connection with your acceptance of the prize awarded.

Acceptance of the prize offered constitutes permission of the sponsors to use your name, address, photograph or other likeness for advertising and promotional purposes. 

No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant. One winner per household.

You must be 13 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law. Parents and/or guardians may enter on behalf of their children.

Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If WBOC/FOX21cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded. WBOC/FOX21 also reserves the right to donate any prizes not awarded to a charity of WBOC/FOX21’s choice.  A copy of the complete Dew What Inspires You Contest rules is available online at www.delmarvalife.com or by sending a SASE to WBOC/FOX21, 1729 N. The number of photo submissions received will determine odds of winning. Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.

Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.

WBOC/FOX21 reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

WBOC/FOX21 reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.

Employees of WBOC/FOX21, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.

Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.

Entrants further grant to WBOC/FOX21 the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.

WBOC/FOX21 reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or WBOC/FOX21. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited. 

UPICKEM and WBOC/FOX21 are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.

All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notifications.

Contest is open to legal residents of the USA. Void where prohibited by law.  Employees of WBOC/FOX21, Draper Digital Media, Draper Holdings, local sponsors, their subsidiaries, affiliates and their immediate relatives are not eligible to participate.  All federal, state and local laws apply.  

Contest rules may be revised or appended at any time.

Winners of any prize shall be required to execute a Waiver, Indemnification and Release prior to his or her receipt of such prize whereby he or she agrees, among other things:  (1) for himself or herself and his or her heirs, personal representatives and assigns, to completely and forever release, waive and discharge Draper Holdings, the sponsors, promotional partners, and advertising agencies involved with this Contest, and each such party’s respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, shareholders, directors, officers, agents, employees, successors, assigns, consultants and representatives (collectively, the “Indemnified and Released Parties”), from any and all claims, actions, costs, losses, expenses, demands, damages and/or other liabilities, known or unknown, absolute or contingent, and whether or not fixed, which he or she ever had, now has or might in the future have against any of the Indemnified and Released Parties, resulting in any manner from and/or by reason of his or her participation in this Contest and/or his or her receipt and use of such prize, including any future use; and(ii) to protect, indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the Indemnified and Released Parties, from and against any and all claims, actions, suites, losses, costs, damages, liabilities and/or expenses of any nature whatsoever (including, but not limited to, the costs and expenses of experts, consultants and attorneys) arising out of or relating to: (a) his or her participation in this Contest; and/or (b) his or her receipt and/or use of such prize, including any future use.        

The value of the Prize may be taxable as income to the winner of such Prize.  Payment of any and all applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of each such winner, and each such winner will be required to complete a Form 1099 and/or Form W-9, or other equivalent form, as applicable, in accordance with applicable law.

All prizes will be awarded unless a winner is found in violation of giveaway rules. Violation of these rules may subject winner to disqualification from this Contest and cause forfeiture any prize won by viewer. 

Any trademarks, tradenames, and/or tradestyles used in the Contest are the sole property of the respective owners of such trademarks, tradenames, and/or tradestyles and are used herein solely for identification purposes.

Proper identification in the form of a passport, driver’s license, or other form of government-issued picture identification must be presented to WBOC/FOX21 /FOX21 in order for a winner to claim a prize.  No one may claim a prize other than the winner of such prize unless proof of handicap or hardship sufficient to WBOC/FOX21 /FOX21 is presented to WBOC/FOX21 /FOX21.  Prize must be claimed by appointment between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm on regular business days no later than May 31, 2013 at the business offices of WBOC/FOX21 /FOX21 located at 1729 N. Salisbury Blvd, Salisbury, MD 21801. Winner is responsible for transportation of prize from this address. For purposes of this Contest, business day” shall exclude Saturdays, Sunday, and officials holidays of Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.

 This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
